Water
Sports in Thailand
Wakeboarding The
extreme sport of wakeboarding, a cross between water-skiing
and snowboarding, is about speed, colour and adrenaline.
Strapped into a double-ended surfboard and towed behind
a speedboat, the wake boarder cuts in and out of the wake,
using the waves to jump, turn, spin and somersault.
Wakeboarding is high velocity excitement and great fun to
watch. Training with instructors on cable ski lakes and
behind the speedboat is available in Bangkok, Pattaya and
Phuket. For quotation please don't hesitate to contact
us.
Windsurfing Leaning back into the wind, skimming over the waves,
emerald islands in the distance against a blue, blue sky.
Windsurfing is not only exotic, exhilarating and an excellent
way to get fit; it is also quiet, non-polluting and environmentally
friendly.
If you are not a surfer yet you can learn to windsurf all
over Thailand's coasts - Pattaya, Hua-Hin, Phuket being
the major spots. Once you have mastered the basics, you'll
find boards and sails available everywhere.
White
Water Rafting White water rafting is Thailand's newest and most
exciting water sport. Nothing compares to the thrill of
running fast moving rapids in a rubber raft. Or the tranquility
of floating past cascading waterfalls and towering canyons
deep in the jungle.
Using state of the art rubber rafts is an environmentally
friendly way to explore Thailand's rivers. Enjoy action
bouncing down the stream or float gently along calm waters
and admire pristine jungle, mighty waterfalls and limestone
karsts.
Sea
canoeing
Some of the most fantastic natural wonders of Thailand are
only available by sea-canoe. Take the limestone cliffs and
caves around Phuket, Phang-Nga, Krabi for example. From
the dazzling sunshine and blue sky of the open sea you spot
a tidal cavern, stalactites reaching down around the entrance.
You emerge from darkness into a lost world, a secret cove,
with weird limestone walls overflowing with vegetation and
exotic creatures of every kind.
