Bangkok's exuberant nightlife scenes are
not confined to any specific area, but
spread all over town and more
concentrated in some neighborhoods.
Wherever you are staying in Bangkok, a
club or bar is bound to be nearby.
Admission to bars and clubs is generally
free, with the exception of some
high-end clubs which ask entry fees of
up to 600 baht. Usually, this will
include one or two free drinks. Most
places are fairly relaxed and impose no
strict dress codes. Some of the posher
establishments don't like to see flip
flops or shorts, and require ID, so make
sure you find out before to avoid
disappointment.
Some of the city's hippest and trendiest
clubs are found around Sukhumvit Road.
Sukhumvit Soi 11 is home to two of
Bangkok's most fashionable clubs, Bed
Supperclub and Q Bar. This lively Soi
also houses a number of restaurants as
well as bars including Cheap Charlie's,
a favourite among local expatriates.
Bed Supperclub
This

Bangkok! Set in a tube-shaped building,
the white futuristic
décor creates a spaceship-like
feel.

Supperclub, or get grooving in the club.

Not far from Patpong, Silom Soi 4 is one
of Bangkok's most vibrant nightspots.
Crammed into this famous little Soi, you
will find restaurants, bars and some of
the city's coolest clubs. Though
dominated by a gay scene, women and
couples will feel comfortable in this
area, which also attracts a lot of
Bangkok's 'in' crowd. Soi 4 is a narrow
lane located opposite Convent Road. The
nearest BTS station is Sala Daeng.
Several more bars and clubs can be found
within this area.
This chic club is the place to go for
house music. Set in a stylish two-storey
venue - which features a superb roof top
bar open only on special occasions - Tapas presents live percussionists twice
a week and attracts a hip and beautiful
crowd with the occasional celebrity to
be spotted. Hot and heaving on weekends!

Home
Home is a popular hip hop bar. A three
storey bar with a
décor resembling someone's house.

In a cave like setting, this is where
techno rules. Loud, packed and hectic.
Go for it.

A bit of style with tapas and a good
wine list. Popular with expats. Happy
Hour 5-7pm. Thaniya Rd

home to a cluster of restaurants, bars
and clubs. Popular among mainly Thais,
venues like The Room on Sarasin become
very lively, packed and wild on

down. Good local bands with a leaning
towards covers of rock favourites. The
sort of place where you can go with the
flow or make your own party. Mainly Thai
food with a few international items.

Very popular among Thai university
students, but hardly known among
visitors, Royal City Avenue (RCA) is a
massive entertainment area featuring
some of Bangkok's biggest clubs. If you
want experience young Thais partying and
letting off steam, this is the place to
go. A multitude of different bars and
clubs are scattered along this road
playing anything from R&B, house, techno
and alternative rock, to Thai pop.
What's great about RCA is its variety of
its venues' themes and styles, and most
places stay open later than 1am.
Club Astra
Club Astra is one of Bangkok's most
up-and-coming night venues featuring
both local and internationally re-known
DJs. Equipped with a super sound system,
this massive dance arena can fit up to
1,500 people!
Set in a colossal building with two
wings, Flix is on the left and Slim on
the right. While Slim specializes in R&B
and commercial Hip Hop, Flix spins house
tunes. Both clubs are stylish and
heaving with people on weekends.
Similar to Flix and Slim, the re-vamped
Route 66 is divided into two sections
East and West. Since R&B and Hip Hop
seem to be what Bangkok's night crawlers
want, it's what you'll hear in both
sides.
